Thu. July 28, 2005 - Boston City Hall - Boston, MA
In observance of the first
annual "Day of Commemoration of the Great Upheaval" as set
forth in
Queen Elizabeth's 2003
proclamation, The
Acadian Cultural Society will be hosting a flag raising
ceremony at Boston City Hall in Boston, MA on Thursday July
28, 2005 from noon to 1pm. We will remember the 250th
anniversary of the deportation by flying the Acadian flag
with words and song. The guest speaker will be Acadian
genealogist and historian
Lucie LeBlanc Consentino.
We urge all New England Acadians to join us and take time to
remember this sad event in our history. For more
